So... I bought myself a 3D printer and started to learn everything I could about it. Initially, I thought I'd be learning CAD and designing simple but functional items for my own use. Needless to say, it didn't work out that way and I quickly discovered that I far preferred the artistic side of 3D printing.

This is where HueForge came into the equation. I'd printed far too many designs from other people, and they varied in quality from good to absolutely dire. The one thing they all had in common was that they usually weren't in the style or to the standard that I was looking for.

So, I bought a licence for Hueforge and started learning. I knew I wanted my prints to be of the best quality I could achieve, print in a "reasonable" amount of time and use as few colours as possible. I usually find that adding more than four colours to a HueForge results in the print looking a little "muddy" unless it's in a cartoon style or something with sharply defined edges to the colours.

I still learn something new every day and try to improve my skills constantly.

I never intended to set up a Patreon, but I've had too many people asking me for commercial licences that I can't ignore it any longer, so here it is.

At time of writing, I have well over 400 designs available, and more are being added every few days.

I like to challenge myself to produce the cleanest and most detailed HueForges I can using as few colours as possible.

I also try to keep slicing and printing time to a minimum using highly customised print profiles and layer height modifiers.

Whilst my main focus has always been on larger sized designs, I am now also enjoying the challenge of producing bookmarks to the same standards I've set myself for my larger designs.
