Snake 2025

Coiled with quiet menace against a stark black background, this serpentine artwork by Aleksandr announces the Year of the Snake with striking graphic intensity. The snake's body is rendered in a rich monochromatic grayscale, every scale and belly plate carefully articulated, while a pair of vivid chartreuse eyes cut through the darkness like twin sparks. A neon yellow-green pencil and a bold "2025" plate anchor the lower corner, tying the composition to the Chinese zodiac calendar year with an illustrative, almost street-art sensibility. The contrast between the inky blacks and the bright acid greens gives the piece an electric, contemporary edge. The HueForge filament transitions are particularly impressive here — the layered depth creates a near-embossed quality, with the snake's scales appearing to rise from the surface in subtle relief, catching light differently across the body's curves. The lighter belly segments show smooth gradient work, while the darker dorsal scales demonstrate how precisely stacked layers can mimic ink illustration. Mounted on a dark wall or displayed on a shelf against a neutral backdrop, this piece reads boldly from a distance while rewarding closer inspection with its intricate detail.
